The Gift of a Bethlehem Education: Now Within Reach for Every Family
At Bethlehem Lutheran School, we believe that every child deserves an education that nurtures both their mind and their spirit. Thanks to the Ohio EdChoice Scholarship Program, we have incredible news: A Bethlehem education is now affordable for every family in Ohio.
What is EdChoice?
The EdChoice program provides state-funded scholarships that follow your child to the school of your choice.
There are two ways families typically qualify:
-
EdChoice Expansion (Income-Based): This is available to every single student in Ohio, regardless of where you live. The scholarship amount is determined by your household income.
-
Traditional EdChoice (Location-Based): If you live in a specific designated public school district, your child may be eligible for the full scholarship regardless of income.
How Much is the Scholarship?
For the 2026-2027 school year, the maximum scholarship for students in Grades K-8 is $6,166.
- Full Scholarships: Families with a household income at or below 450% of the Federal Poverty Level (for example, a family of four earning $140,400 or less) qualify for the full $6,166 scholarship.
- Partial Scholarships: Families earning above that amount still qualify for a prorated scholarship.
Even at higher income levels, the state provides a minimum of several hundred dollars per child to help with tuition.
Why This Matters
For many of our families, the EdChoice scholarship covers all or nearly all of our tuition. If you are concerned about the remaining balance or fees, please talk to us. We are committed to working with every family to make the gift of a Bethlehem education a reality.
